Can't specificy location (CSV) for Virtual Hard Disks in VMM

Hello, we are deploying a new Hyper-V cluster using System Center Virtual Machine Manager (using Windows Server 2012 R2 and Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2). We have run into a curious issue.  We have setup our Clusters, Logical Networks, Storage Arrays, CSV, etc. (all our storage will be handled by CSV from our SAN).

However, when we go to deploy a new VM, we are unable to specify which LUN (CSV) to place the hard drive on (the Cloud decides for us and randomly picks SSD, FC, or SAS - the three classifications the Cloud has access to).  If we don't use Clouds and create a VM and place directly on a host, we can then manually change the path of drive at creation.  However, even if we don't use Clouds, and just try to add a Virtual Disk to an existing VM, we have no option to set the location of the Virtual Hard Disk, it is forcing us to place the VHD on the same LUN (CSV) as the Operating System Drive of the VM.

This is really bad for many of our VMs.  For example, if we want the OS on fiber channel disk, but need SQL log files on Solid State, we can't do this.  Or if we need OS on Fiber Channel and have archive data to put on SAS, we also cannot do this.

We tried setting up storage classifications, but the Classification box in the properties of the Virtual Hard Disk is always greyed out (we can see which classification it auto picked here after its created, but it won't ever let us select a classification - even before creation).  When just editing properties of a VM and creating a disk, there is never an option to select the LUN (CSV) at this point.

What are we missing here?  Thanks!
