Hi Guys,
Got a VMM 2012 R2 environment, patched up to update 3, but i'm seeing duplicate VM objects in VM where i would see a VM with 2 entries which 1 showing status of running and the other showing missing. I was reading around saying this is the flaw of VMM when i do live migrations around my nodes clusters.
I found 3 solutions to this :
1st being diving deep into VMM's SQL server and changing the attributes manually.
http://nocentdocent.wordpress.com/2014/01/15/removing-ghost-objects-from-scvmm-sysctr/
2nd being removing the objects but not the VM's physical file/ role in cluster from VMM server with remove -force

3rd being removing the cluster and adding it back to VMM.
I'm not to sure about the 1st solution, diving in deep to SQL sever might brake some im afraid.
For 2nd solution, i haven't really tried it yet because all the VM's are production and i'm too worried that i would actually delete everything.
For 3rd solution, i really prefer not to do this because my VMM is hosted on a remote site from the Hyper V clusters with hundreds of VM.
Then again i'm not sure if all these solutions are the way to go because if this keeps on happening it does mean i have to do this repeatedly in the future.
Any advices? Is this a common behaviour from VMM?
