I’m working on the upgrade of SCVMM 2012 SP1 to SCVMM 2012 R2 (using the existing database) in a high availability environment. Installation of Management Server and Console completes. When I try to access the console on the same server, it throws the error: “Unable to connect to the VMM management server localhost. The Virtual Machine Manager service on that server did not respond.
Verify that Virtual Machine Manager has been installed on the server and that the Virtual Machine Manager service is running. Then try to connect again. If the problem persists, restart the Virtual Machine Manager service.

The status of VMM service is ‘Started’ in services.msc. I’ve tried restarting the VMM service and then the server, but it didn’t work.
Is this issue due to database corruption during the upgrade process? I am unable to fix this issue. Anyone please help me.
