Hi all

Scvmm 2012 r2 fully patched (integrated to scom 2012 r2 + azure site recovery)

hyperv 2012 r2 fully patched

hyperv 2012

No cluster. just stand alone domain member Hyperv

I build two vm 2012 r2 fully patched. one Gen2 for hyperv 2012 r2. one Gen1 for hyperv 2012.

both vm have a local admin and not joined to a domain

when I tried to make a template out of them the Sysprep failed with error:

Error (2912)
An internal error has occurred trying to contact the hvnode05.youcc.net server: : .

WinRM: URL: [http://hvnode05.youcc.net:5985], Verb: [INVOKE], Method: [HWScoutOffline], Resource: [http://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/scvmm/P2VServerJob]

The configuration registry database is corrupt (0x800703F1)

Recommended Action
Check that WS-Management service is installed and running on server hvnode05.youcc.net. For more information use the command "winrm helpmsg hresult". If hvnode05.youcc.net is a host/library/update server or a PXE server role then ensure that VMM agent is installed and running. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2742275 for more details.

and I so it hung in shuting down.

so I tried to shut them down from scvmm and it failed with error

The virtual machines cannot be shut down because Virtual Guest Services are not installed on the guest operating system (2012R2GEN1) or because the installed Virtual Guest Services do not support shutting down the guest operating system that is running on the virtual machine.

To shut down, you must install Virtual Guest Services that support shutting down the guest operating system.

ID: 1735

For both of the VM I can shut down from Hyperv manager inside the Hyperv host

For Gen2 VM I disabled the secure boot option.

what can go wrong?
