I have 2 nodes in a Hyper-V failover cluster. All my templates are configured as highly available, and to use a differencing disk against the parent and all work fine.
When I deploy images 1 at a time - things happen very fast. Each VM takes around 5 minutes to deploy.
However - if I deploy multiple VM's at the same time to the same nodes - the "Install VM Components" step takes much much longer (up to 10-15 minutes longer). When you look at Disk Management on the hypervisor nodes it is deploying to - SCVMM is mounting the VHD to inject what it needs to and it's this process that seems to fall apart time wise when deploying multiple machines.
1. Is this normal behavior and to be expected?
2. Is there any way of disabling the Install VM components step (as I have the SCVMM Guest Agent installed in my templates already?)
