We created a standard template and configured it to point to our local WSUS server (and ran the updates from it so we know it connected to it at least once). When that template is deployed, those local WSUS settings seem to be removed from the registry.
Is this a known thing? Does a sysprep like process reset those settings? We noticed this when new VM's weren't appearing in our WSUS console. Any information would be great.

When deploying a VM from a template in VMM 2012, the OS loses its configured WSUS server settings.
