I am running SCVMM 2012 SP1 and Hyper-V on Windows Server 2012 as well.
I have a two-node cluster of Hyper-V nodes and just a handful of VMs.
I noticed that the VMs created through VMM are reporting as managed by VMM; however, the VMs created before VMM are reporting as not managed by VMM.
And when trying to run some commands from PowerShell I am getting this error message: "Machine VM_Name is not associated with this VMM management server. (Error ID: 422)."
I have been searching for a clue on how to correct this but I only have found information on how correct it for either a hypervisor or a VM that does not exists.
The solution that I seen indicates to modify a parameter in one of the VMM database tables but the end result I believe is to destroy the VMM entry. In my case I do not want to destroy the VM but I want to associate the VM with VMM so can manage it.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks.
