SCVMM 2012R2 could manage Hyper-V 2008R2? How to upgrade or migrate Hyper-V 2008R2 to Hyper-V 2012R2?

Hi all,

Our company use Esxi 5.5 and Hyper-V 2008R2 for the VMs.  We plan to manage & migrate all VMs to the Hyper-V 2012R2 for its new features and functions.

So SCVMM 2012R2 could manage Hyper-V 2008R2 (or just could be managed by SCVMM 2008)?

How to upgrade or migrate Hyper-V 2008R2 to Hyper-V 2012R2?

Some article mentioned "VM’s from Windows Server 2012 can be imported on Hosts running Windows Server 2012 and R2 only". I hope it just explain the Hyper-V function not SCVMM function. We could output & import VMs via SCVMM, right?
