I stored some VM's that were no longer used in the library. I then had to deploy them again, so i went to the Library tab, then to 'Stored Virtual Machines and Services', right click the VM (the box was ticked to tell it the HDD had the OS on it), then click Deploy. After it was deployed it wouldn't boot, inaccessible boot device.
I then booted from Server 2012 R2 DVD into the recovery command prompt and ran 'bootrec /scanos' - it found the OS but it was on the 'D:' drive.
The recovery partition was set as C: drive for some reason. After running the standard bcdedit commands it works.
Why does it do this? Why doesn't it just leave the Windows partition as C and boot from it just like it was before it was stored in the library? What changed it?
cheers,
Jon
