How to use SCVMM/HyperV to deploy multiple VM's from template, assign a static IP (not pool static), and join to domain?

I'd like to automate deployment of VM's from a standard template, assign a unique static IP, and join the server to a domain.  Have extensive experience doing this in VMWare, but it seems SCVMM has a few more steps to the process.

So far I've been able to deploy as many machines as I want from the template passing a list of variables via CSV to PowerShell, but all the VM's end up without an IP and therefore cannot join the domain.

First issue I'm running into is we are manually assigning the IP information to all hosts and not leveraging the static IP pools.  Can I actually set the static IP from the answer file specified in New-SCVMTemplate - or is that strictly for static IP's from a pool (as the GUI seems to indicate being the only option)?

Second issue (more of a question) is do I actually need to create a temporary hardware and template profile for every VM?  Every example I've seen does this and they never clean it up ( so when you go to back to list your profiles it's a big mess of"TemporaryGuids").
