How to apply changes to Host networking in VMM??

I need to make some networking changes in VMM and apply them to a number of Hyper-V hosts from VMM Console.

But the changes involve changes to the network connectivity between the hosts and the VMM Server.

So I suspect that at some point in time during application of the change to a host, connectivity between the host and the VMM server will disappear.

How will that work??

Will the host be able to complete the change on its own, once the change is received from the VMM Server? And regain connectivity?

Or will the host end up being stuck in some weird state with the change half-way applied and no connectivity to the VMM Server and no way to resume the change-process?

The change I want to make is similar to the proces I used when I configured the networking for the hosts originally - years ago. But I think that - back then - I had set up the hosts with extra connectivity through an extra set of NICs and an extra switch. I hope I will not need to cable all that up again now - just to make some changes.

And I note that had I decided not to use VMM to configure hosts networking (with the Logical Switch), but instead decided to configure it with a PowerShell script on each host, then the change I want to make now would have been much more straight forward. Since I could have just changed such a script and run it locally now on each host without worrying about losing connectivity while the script would be running.
