I have an interesting issue where migrating to a VMM library is very poor. I have changed the BITS port to 8500 so it don't conflict with 443.
There are no BITS throttling policies that I can see. Unencrypted BITS has been ticked in libraries and host groups.
The disks are not been overloaded and running at 20MB/25Mb.
I have verified the BITS jobs with "Gets-BitsTransfer -Allusers and it shows "transferred" and "Transferring", no errors. Network is ticking over at 150Mbps to 250Mbps.
Store in library PowerShell is using the -UseLan option.
The Hyper-V host the libraries are sitting on is using a VMM\SET switch with only Management\SMB vNIC's.
Question?
The libraries have access to a 20Gbit SMB RDMA link to the main cluster, is there a way to force the libraries to use SMB rather than BITS over HTTP? for "store in library function". Surely this is just a file copy? The management interface is also 20Gbit.
Anyone else had issues like this? and how did you resolve? or what did you check?
Thanks
