SCVMM 2012 R2 evaluation does not install.

Downloaded the evaluation appliance.

Created VM (using the vhd) : 1 cpu, 1600 MB ram

configured sql db as per doc.

While configuring scvmm it gives the following error.

A Hardware Management error has occurred trying to contact server WIN-T6N9RF39JBL  .

WinRM: URL: [http://win-t6n9rf39jbl:5985], Verb: [GET], Resource: [http://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/scvmm/FileInformation?Filename=\\WIN-T6N9RF39JBL\MSSCVMMLibrary\VHDs\Blank Disk - Small.vhd]

Check that WinRM is installed and running on server WIN-T6N9RF39JBL. For more information use the command "winrm helpmsg hresult" and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2742275 .

Does this setup require AD ?
