So in a situation where we are using Citrix XenDesktop for example which then requires SCVMM for Desktop brokering and control, besides needing simply the SCVMM Standard license to get the management server piece (Not using for any server OSEs in this example), I need to know if my thinking is correct on the desktop licensing pieces i would need:
1. Obviously Microsoft VDA license for connecting devices to the virtual desktop
2. Then if we have 200 virtual desktops in a Hyper-V 4 node cluster (no server guest OSEs) controlled via SCVMM since that is required, we would then need the SCCM 2012R2 Client Management License as well for 200 desktops correct? Since the SCCM client management license includes the SCVMM client management piece..?
I know the Microsoft VDI suites include that already, so in this case of using Citrix XenDesktop instead of MS VDI, i just wanted to confirm the exact Client licenses i would need for SCVMM controlled desktops.
Thanks!
