I am trying to deploy a VM to a cloud and face two issues which I do not understand.
1) The cloud has a limit of 1000GB and only 400GB used. The VM template has an 80 GB disk. The storage associated with the cluster that this cloud has access to has 10 TB free space. What I do not understand is, when going to "MyCloud" -> Properties-> Resources I have associated a Hostgroup with this cloud and at this point I see "Total Storage" of only 375 GB. If I go to the "storage" window it shows me the correct 10TB under "Total Capacity". Does anyone know what the "total storage" under "ressources" is refering to? But the main question reamins why do I see the error of "The operation resulss in a violation of the disk space capacity of cloud XX."
How do I find out why there is a disk space violation?
2) It also tells me that the "the vm workload cannot be deployed to the hardware supporting cloud. contact .. admin and provide Task ID to determine the reason..." I realized that this error appears when I am selecting the VM network that is associated with this cloud (logical network). I looked up the task ID provided and in the tbl_TR_TaskTrail it shows "Success". That puzzles me because the task fails in VMM why does this task id say "success"? Anyway I don't see details in this tasktrail table to understand why I am not able to select the VM network that is associated with the logical network/site
