Cant remediate logical switch

Hello all!

In a lab environment using hyper v server 2012 R2 as a base

i have installed VMM, SQL 2012 and a DC, on two HP Proliant hosts.

These have been put in a HA Cluster and they are working fine with the

Hyper V switches. But i have been tasked with trying to install and

evaluate a Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch. The problem is all the troubleshooting

guides i have read take about remediating the network devices.

This lab is really simple, no vlans, no real trunkports to speak off, live migration and

heartbeat have been physically connected to the other ethernet interface on the other host

(ip address in same subnet have been configured). Storage have been connected to other network.

The management and VM traffic both go to an isolated switch and router.

My question is in order to remediate network devices, hosts etc is there a requirement

for WSUS to be configured?

Because when i click remediate nothing happens, no running jobs or history either.

My second question although a long shot, do you guys know any reasons why VMM would "kick out"

a network adapter connected to a logical switch (leaving it orphaned, adapter is visible on Hyper V host, but

not in VMM)?

Happens when the cluster is doing its compliancy check

Best regards

Peter
