Updates for Semi-Annual Channel VMM
i would like to know if there is any hotfix or updates for Semi-Annual Channel (SAC) release of Virtual Machine Manager.
example, after VMM 1807 is released in july2018, is there any updates so far or we have to wait 6 months for the next SAC version.

Bare Metal Deployment error 2927 failure PXE Security Exchange
Just for information, I had a situation where I can to rebuild a cluster node on a S2D cluster. The node had not been removed correctly so SQL time. I used the standard SQL script for host removal but during the PXE start up it got stuck on security exchange and crashed

I was doing some digging in the PMM_PhysicalMachine and found the SMBIOSGUID of the offending machine.
Taking the "PhsyicalMachineID" GUID, I tried to delete but it cross referenced to ADHC_HostNetworkAdapter table.
Deleting all the PhysicalMachineID links in that table (12 lines) plus ST_StorageFileServerNode (1 line referring to removed node)
Allowed the deployment to commence.
Hope it helps someone. (or me in the future)

I haven't found sufficient information on Microsoft site as like i found for SCVMM version 2016 onward.

Template windows 10 1809 fails at customization
Hi
I installed a windows 10 1809 recently to make a template and I did the usual procedure with installation, configuration and then made a sysprep to generalize the machine. Then I copy thje vhdx file to the SCVMM library and then create a template based on it with OS configuration and as I understand it I have to insert a license key before deploying a new VM based on this template. For this I've chosen an enterprise key for KMS/E-subscriptions because we will be using tenant subscriptions to license our clients.
The problem is when I deploy the machine it stays for the step Customization far too long and times out after 60 minutes which seems to be normal if something is wrong but the problem is that I don't know what's causing it. Is it possible to get the event that halts the process? Has anyone else had the same problem with Windows 10 1809 or maybe 1803?
Any tips or tricks is helpful

VMM and update server - new updates not showing in VMM
My VMM 2016 server is no longer showing any new updates from my WSUS server. The WSUS server is syncing and in WSUS i see new updates, but when I try and create a new baseline with new updates in VMM, it doesn't see those new updates.
The last new update I have in VMM is Feb 18th, 2019. I've got updates in WSUS from last week's patch Tuesday. Since the 2/18 updates that show up, both VMM and the WSUS server have been rebooted.
I my best option to remove the WSUS from VMM and re-add it? Will that remove all my configuration baselines that I have in place?

SCVMM 2012 - Error (25100) when removing logical network without dependancies
I have been trying to remove some bad old logical networks for awhile now without luck. I have gone through the dependancies and removed them all until there are no more displaying. Then I try and remove the logical network and get prompted quickly with the error (25100) below. I am guesing the only way to remove this is in the database. I have gone into the database and found the ID's for the logical networks. Just curious if anyone knows how to remove them completely from SCVMM in the most efficient and effective manor. I appreciate any help in advance!

VMM is unable to delete the logical network because dependent resources, such as logical network definitions, are still associated. Contact your VMM administrator for details about this error.
Recommended Action
Remove the logical network association with all dependent resources, and then remove the logical network.

Live migration from 2019 to 2016 fails (clusters)
Hi,
We've several 2016 clusters and VMM 2016. Live migrations between clusters and standalone hosts was 100% ok. Network configurations with VMM was 100% ok too.
After upgrading one of the clusters to WS 2019 and VMM to 2019 the problems started.
The VM's live migrated from 2016 cluster to 2019 cluster. Now live migration from 2019 to 2016 (clusters) fails with:

Cluster to Cluster Migration Error (12700) using CredSSP
Hello,
We have 4 Hyper-V clusters all managed by SCVMM. We recently migrated SCVMM into the same domain as the Hyper-V clusters and also upgrade to a newer version of SCVMM. Now when trying to migrate a VM (that is turned off) from one cluster to another it fails.
Error (12700) VMM cannot complete the host operation on the 'CLUSTER1HOST1.mydomain.tld' server because of the error: Virtual machine migration operation for 'MYVMTOMIGRATE' failed at migration source 'CLUSTER1HOST1'. (Virtual machine ID <GUID>) The Virtual Machine Management Service failed to establish a connection for a Virtual Machine migration with host 'CLUSTER2HOST1.mydomain.tld': The credentials supplied to the package were not recognized (0x8009030D). Failed to authenticate the connection at the source host: no suitable credentials available. Unknown error (0x8000) Recommended Action Resolve the host issue and then try the operation again.
The live migration authentication method is CredSSP and everything I have found online related to this error says to switch to Kerberos authentication with delegation.
That is fine but Im trying to understand why CredSSP no longer works when it once did. We do have Hyper-V Replicas on these clusters using Kerberos authentication. Im not sure if those setting might conflict with each other or not. Its been a while since I last used the Live or Offline Network Migration and the Replica feature was enabled after we last used it.

Error after installing VMM 2016 UR6
Hi,
After installing VMM 2016 UR6, we encountered the following problem:
The first of the hosts in VMM 2016 after updating receives SMBIOS 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000.
The following cluster nodes cannot refresh, an error occurs:
Error (21201)
SMBIOS GUID is found.
The VMM is also trying to assign them SMBIOS 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000.
It resets the SMBIOS value to 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 in the table [dbo].[tbl_PMM_PhysicalMachine]
SMBIOS values on hosts in the registry HKLM:\System\HardwareConfig and in the table [dbo].[tbl_PMM_PhysicalMachine] are unique.
Re-adding hosts from VMM does not solve the problem.

Can we deploy SCVMM on Azure VM & use that to manage/create VM's in Onpremise?
I wish to deploy a VM in Azure & install SCVMM in it.
After the deployment, if I establish a Site to site connectivity with my onpremise network, can I use the SCVMM to manage the VM's in my onpremise network & create some VM's in Azure?
I tried setting up a demo environment. SCVMM 2016 is installed & I added the Azure subscription to it. Since I couldn't establish a S2S connectivity, I wasn't able to confirm if we can create new VM's in the onpremise HyperV setup using the SCVMM in Azure.
Can someone confirm if this setup will work?
SCVMM in the onpremise production environment is SCVMM 2012 R2. If we deploy this in Azure, will it be possible to create VM's using this in Azure and Onpremise.
We want to give access to his specific end users to create and delete VM’s as per their requirement on Azure without intervention of IT team.
Is my requirement clear enough to understand?
